WWII German 23rd Panzer Division Privately Made Cap Badge. Brass unit insignia on black leather backing. Measures 2.5 x 2 inches. Has clearly been sewn and removed from a cap. Brass and leather has some wear and staining from age, but is overall in good condition. The 23rd fought at the battle of Stalingrad and was nearly destroyed. Served throughout the rest of the war in the Ukrainian Front.
