WWI era Iron Cross with US Army Capture Letters. The ring at the top of the iron cross had broken off and is attached to the ribbon. The ribbon is intact and has some staining. There are two letters one is a typed note that states the origin of the cross and handwritten note. The letter also mentioned a watch that is not with this grouping. The handwritten letter is January 3rd 1918 dated and was sent home with the cross. The doughboy who sent the letter was part of the 308th Engineers. Both letters are in good condition.
