WWII German Afrika Corps Trench Art Mess Kit. Mess tin is worn from usage, but has no serious damage. On one side has been carved the Afrika Korps insignia and on the base is a paragraph describing the Tunisia Campaign. It describes the 8th Army's battle at the Mareth Line and the collapse of the German Army in the region. It also states the mess tin was captured from one of the POW camps in Tunis.
