M42 German Army Helmet Italian Front Bring Back

WWII M42 German Army Helmet Italian Front Bring Back. The shell is in solid condition with very minor dents, scratches and some surface rust. There is no cracking or holes in the metal. The liner is dry and starting to flake apart, but appears intact. The green paint of the shell is worn, but still overall intact. The shell is stamped 1660 on the back.  Overall, still in good shape. The helmet comes with photocopies of letters and photos of the US medic that served in the 5^th Army in Italy who brought the helmet back. The helmet is described in one of the letters.
