US Navy marked WWII M1 Helmet and Liner Front seam, Fixed bale with Hawley liner. The helmet shell is worn from usage and has dents and field repairs. Painted blue with unit numbers on top. The bale with the hook side of the chinstrap is missing. The hawley liner is heavily worn from usage and stuck in the helmet. You can tell it is original to the helmet and bore the brunt of the of the wear and tear on the shell. The chinstrap is khaki and has some minor wear and damage. Despite the wear, not too much rust is present. Helmet definitely has a story to tell.
