WWII USO Camp Shows Uniform Coat Named To Ray Bolger "The Scarecrow". Bluish grey wool four pocket coat. Sewn above the left pocket is a USO CAMP SHOW patch on wool. Down the front and on the pockets are darkened State Seal buttons, I believe someone said to me they were Illinois, but that I am not sure. Inside the right chest is a BROOKS uniform tah, that is on the outisde of the inner pocket. Inside the pocket is a white tag from BROOKS UNIFORMS and it has Ray Bolger's name and size plus the order number. Coat has about a size 38 chest. This came out of the famous MGM studio auction in 1973. Coat shows minor wear and has some very minor bug bites on the surface, but nothing damaging to the appearance. I have kept this in the colelction for awhile as I figured I would never own anything from the Wizard Of Oz, but the Scarecrow's WWII uniform is still pretty cool.
