Japanese Edo Period Sharpshooters Jacket. Coarse, black woven kimono type jacket. Has a built in belt with light blue embroidered details. Also has a large clan insignia embroidered on the back in the same blue thread. Waist length. Has interior belts for closure when wearing. At the ends of the sleeves are small loops to use when firing by attaching to a button. You will see photos / images from this period showing sharp shooters firing flight lock rifles while wearing these type jackets. Has been used and still in overall great shape.
