243rd Coast Artillery Profeciency Trophy

In stock

1920's - 1930's 243rd Coast Artillery Profeciency Trophy. Large, heavy wooden shield. It stands about two and a half feet tall. Has eight heavy brass plates attached. The top one has, in rleief,  GENERAL PROFECIENCY TROPHY  PRESENTED TO THE 243RD C.A. (HD)  BY THE 3RD CO. VETERANS ASSOCIATION 1928. In the center is another piece with a WWI soldier in front of a waving flag. The plaques on each side have the winning battery's names engraved with the date they won the award. Att the bottom are laurels with crossed cannons and 243 above. I will say again, this piece is heavy so shipping will not be cheap. Great looking piece. Wish my walls were strong enough in the showroom to hang this....
