Pre-WWII McClellan Saddle Skirts Presented From Gen Patton To Ford Carpenter. Standard issue stiff leather skirts that show basic wear. Written in black ink is FROM GEN. GEORGE PATTON U.S.A. GIVEN TO DR FORD A CARPENTER SAN GABRIEL 1928 MADE IN 1918. The ink has been on these for ever. From the time period when Patton was living in Los Angeles. Dr Ford Carpenter was a early LA City Councilman and meteroligists who help build Burbank Airport. These have been in my collection for about 20 years and came from a friend who was at a flea market stall digging through McClellan parts and found these stuck in a box. Killer pieces related to Gen Patton and early Los Angeles history.
