WWII USMC Officers Trench Art Mess Kit. WWI issue kit that was reused in WWII. On the cover is engraved a ship coming upon a island with  the LT's name engraved. On the back is hand engraved OVER SEA DUTY  NEW CALEDONIA  10-19-42  GUADALCANAL 4-1-44  HAWAII TH 10-4-44  OAHU-MAUI-HILO  ENIWETOK  SAIPAN  IWO JIMA 4-20-45.Also has his name engraved on the sides. Inside are his utensils, that also have his names on them. Cool piece.
