Martha Raye Collection / Estate

Martha Raye was born August 27, 1916 and passed away in Los Angeles on October 19th, 1994.

She had an amazing career in the entertainment industry and was very active with the USO in WWII, Korea, Vietnam and beyond.

She is especially known for the numerous trips she made to Vietnam on her own time, where she generously volunteered to entertain the troops. She was especially beloved by Special Forces who nicknamed her Col. Maggie. Martha Raye was the first female bestowed the title of honorary Green Beret. In fact, when she passed away she was buried in Ft Bragg, NC.

We are honored to have been able to purchase both large portions of her military collection that became available after she passed away. The first part of the collection is still with the collector who bought it from us in the late 1990's. The second portion we held onto for awhile, however, like most pieces we put away, the time has come for us to move it on.

Please watch this section for great items that we will be listing. These will be items that were given to Martha Raye by various service men she met over several visits to Vietnam.
