WWI US Army painted M1917 gas mask. The Khaki canvas material is solid condition with no holes and some staining. The shoulder strap is intact, but is frayed in some parts. The painted insignia is in clean condition and appears to be an old English W. Not known if is associated with a unit or is just someone's initials. The metal hardware has some surface rust. The mask is petrified but intact.
