Spanish American War/WWI era mess tin. Body is worn, but in solid condition with no dents. These were made in the late 1890s and are often called the “Emergency Issue Mess Tin” as they were issued at the start of WWI when there was an equipment shortage. They would have seen usage in the training camps in 1917.
